Standard Poster Design Costs
Single poster design: £150–£500
The most common brief — one poster in one format (A4, A3, A2, A1, or 6-sheet). At the lower end, you're getting a competent layout of supplied content. At the higher end, you're getting a creative concept with considered hierarchy.
Event poster series (3–5 posters): £400–£1,200
A suite of related posters for an event programme, festival, or seasonal campaign. The system approach maintains visual consistency across formats while varying content.
Large-format outdoor / OOH: £500–£1,500
Billboard, bus shelter, and transit advertising formats. These require specific technical specifications and a design approach optimised for viewing at distance and speed.
Point-of-sale and retail display: £300–£900
Shelf-edge, gondola-end, and floor-standing displays. POS design must work within very specific retail context.
What Should Be Included
A professional poster design should deliver: print-ready PDF with bleeds and crop marks, CMYK colour mode at the correct resolution (minimum 150dpi at final size for large format, 300dpi for smaller print), and a digital screen version (RGB) for use online and in email.
